Our job at Real Life Films is to not only find those wonderful moments, but to create a memorable story with them. We take all your imperfect footage and enhance it by doing some color correcting, speed changes or repositioning the image. And the icing on the cake—we edit it to your favorite song or just the right musical track to create an artful movie. We craft your story and make it something you will view over and over again for years to come.

The Editing Process
Each Real Life project begins with a dialogue to discuss the goals for your movie. This enables us to create a story that truly represents you. The initial meeting will take about 30 minutes, where we discuss your footage and many of the key elements you want to appear in your movie. We can meet in person, by Skype or even email - whichever is easiest for you. Although we are based in San Francisco, we work with many clients remotely.
Shooting New Footage
Real Life Films can shoot new footage to compliment your existing footage or produce an entire shoot designed to tell your story. For historical biographies, we conduct in-depth interviews and create a narrative to best compliment your own words. It’s all about telling your story memorably and beautifully. We provide everything you need. After all, we are the people who have produced and directed high-profile, large commercial shoots.
Our Fees
Generally, most of our projects start at approximately $800 and move upwards. The cost depends on whether you want us to shoot additional footage or just work with the materials you have. We provide you with an estimate upon project evaluation. We output all our movies to DVD, with a customized menu. Each story we produce is delivered to you beautifully packaged and personalized.
